FOTD- Purple Pearl

Another make up look for you today. I decided to go with purple. I used three shadows that I bought about 2 years ago that have been very neglected!

Clockwise from the left- Rimmel London eyeshadow (don't think they sell this colour anymore), MUA eyeshadow in pearl shade 3, MUA eyeshadow in pearl shade 9.

Rimmel 3 for 2 offer, what I bought & FOTD

Whilst browsing the make up stand in Sainsburys yesterday I couldn't resist the 3 for 2 offer on all Rimmel products. I really wanted to re-purchase my beloved pink blush lipstick and was keen to try out their new Wake me Up foundation. I then spotted their gel eyeliner so gave the tester a quick swatch. I really wish shops would provide tissues to wipe off all the swatches you do on your hand, I ended up walking round with a hand covered in lipsticks and eyeliner.
Here's what I came home with...

Left to right- Lasting Finish lipstick in pink blush, Wake me Up foundation in soft beige, waterproof gel eyeliner in black.

This is probably my all time favourite pink lipstick. It is so pigmented and creamy.

I love how cute the little pot is, and how the brush sits in the lid.

My miserable mush wearing all three products.

So what do I think?
First off, the foundation... I was really excited to try this after seeing so many good reviews. To be honest, I'm not astounded. It's nothing I'd bother raving about. To me, its just another foundation that gives a dewy-ish finish. I wish I'd saved the money and bought the L'Oreal Lumi Magique foundation that I posted about here instead.

Secondly, the eyeliner... When I swatched this in the shop I was really impressed, it was creamy and applied nicely with a cute little brush that sits in the lid. I did a small line on my hand and after giving it a few rubs it didn't come off.  I have scrubbed it with soap and water numerous times and showered but it won't budge. Definitely lives up to the waterproof claim! The only thing I don't like is when applied on the eyes it takes awhile to dry. I applied it then went and faffed in the bathroom only to find it had smudged on my eyelids :-( I used a babywipe to remove the mess and re-applied. I sat for a few minutes before making another move but it still smudged a little at the outer corners. Poop. I haven't had it on long so I can't comment on the longevity of it just yet.

Lastly, the lipstick. Like I said before, this is my all time favourite pink lippy. I love everything about it, the shade, pigmentation and creamy consistency. I could wear pink blush everyday and never get bored.

Have you tried any of these products? What do you think?

Wake me Up foundation, currently on offer in Sainsburys for £8.99
Waterproof gel eyeliner, RRP £6.49
Lasting finish pink blush lipstick, RRP £4.99

FOTD- Mermaid blue

Finally my camera has decided to work, yay! I was palying about with my Dawn til Dusk MUA palette again today and came up with this...

I really need to work on my blending, looking in the mirror it looks fine but when I take the pictures I can really see the mistakes :-|

FOTD- DuWop and MUA

I had to do my make up really quickly today as I was running late for my therapy appointment, so please excuse the shabbiness of it.
I used two colours from the Dusk til Dawn palette from Mua and tried out the Venom gloss by DuWop that I received in my GlossyBox this month.

I was a little dissapointed with the pigmentation of this palette. The single eyeshadows from MUA are so great I expected these to be the same. I had to use quite a bit of product to get any noticeable colour. However, when applied I really loved how it turned out (even if it was really rushed and not blended properly!).

Shade- Buttercup
Image from Glossybox.com

I have tried many "lip plumping" glosses before and found the only one to make visible difference was Lip Injection by Too Faced (it stung like hell). I was hopeful this DuWop Venom gloss would be good as it is from a higher end brand. It applied smoothly but felt a little too sticky for my liking. After a few seconds the tingling sensation began and lasted a good 15 minutes. However, I noticed no change in the plumpness of my lips, although they did turn slightly more pink.
I do absolutely LOVE the shade of this gloss though, its a subtle champagne colour but as my lips became more pink due to the tingling feeling it sort of turned the gloss into a lovely nudey pink. I am considering purchasing the full size :-)

Mua palette available here for £4
DuWop venom gloss available here for £16

Have you tried either products before?

FOTD- Fatal Violet

Yay! I have a computer, finally! I've hated not being able to blog properly. This post is a look from a few days ago. My mum bought me this eyeshadow randomly a few weeks back (shes a little obsessed with the colour purple)...

Maybelline eye shadow in Fatal Violet (photo above with flash)

Please excuse its shabby condition, its been used a few times and has been floating around in my makeup bag for ages.

As promised, here is an outfit post. I also threw in a photo of my mush, 'cause I'm sure you love seeing it :-D

Studded leather jacket (bought AGES ago, can't remember where from)
Leggings from Matalan
Metallic Top, Quiz.
Skull scarf, Alexander McQueen
I ended up putting my firetrap biker boots on but couldn't be bothered to take another photo, 'cause I'm a lazy trout  I was rushed.

Love my bozz eyes! I have no idea what happened there...

Earrings from Forever 21

Lips- Collection 2000 Cherry Pop

Mr.A had the day off work today so took me into town for a bit of retail therapy.
I bought quite a few bits (naughty me!) and will do a post on them after the weekend as I am off to the Midlands tonight then London tomorrow for a weekend with the girls, yay!!

FOTD- Smoky Metallic

Ozzy decided to be quiet this morning so I had a little play with my make up and came up with this. It's not an everyday look, it's more something I'd wear for a night out with dramatic eyelashes. I'm more for au-natural during the day :-)

I am wearing the two metallic grey shades from the Blink + Go make up compact 2 (greys) which I had in my Glossybox a few months back. I also used the pearly white shade to highlight.
I used a black liquid eyeliner to define my eyes, with a small flick at the end. I lined my lower waterline with a black khol pencil and added two coats of mascara to both top and bottom lashes. The mascara I am wearing is Tarte cosmetics "Lights, Camera, Lashes". I had a mini one with my True Blood make up palette and it is fab! It goes on really well and gives me longer, fuller lashes without giving the spider legs effect. Definitely going to re-purchase in full size, although I haven't actually found it on any UK websites!

Blink + Go Grey make up compact is available here for £14.95

FOTD- Vampire blood

I have named this look vampire blood because I used two colours from the True Blood palette (those of you that are familiar with True Blood will know it is a TV series about vampires.) The colours I used are "telepath" and "V" (V being vampire blood that is sold as an addictive drug in the series). I am also wearing the Rimmel lipstick that I posted about the other day called Birthday Suit.

FOTD- Glamour me. & New necklace

This post should really be called "Face from the OTHER day" as I took this photo a couple of days ago. I primarily used the deep plum colour called "Glamour Me" from the True Blood make up pallete (see previous post), with a hint of "True Death" (a really pigmented silver) and "Telepath" (a beautiful shimmery rose petal pink).

Here are the shades I used-

My brother in law bought me this gorgeous spiky necklace from Miss Selfridge for Christmas, I absolutely LOVE it!

FOTD

Thought I'd do a FOTD post today for you all. We decided to come to my mums earlier than Christmas day so we are here now, I forgot to bring my camera though and had to use my phone so the picture quality isn't great.

You can see the remains of my Barry M red glitter nail varnish here, its so Christmassey! I really should remove it and re-apply...

I look a bit gormless in this photo don't I?

Here I am wearing-
Face- Bourjois Healthy mix foundation, VIVO baked bronzer, Both the blushers from the Blink and Go palette mixed together (below).
Lips- Collection 2000's Pink Shock lipstick.
Eyebrows- HD brows palette.
Eyes- Blink and go palette (I've circled the two shades in the photo below), black liquid eye-liner on the top and black kohl eyeliner on my lower waterlin, Dior's Backstage mascara in black.
