Cosmetic surgery consultation & weight update

On Friday I had a consultation booked for half 1 with The Hospital Group. Unfortunately me and Mr.A had an argument over money (as usual!) , he didn't get home from work in time to take me anyway :-( The good news is, I am booking another appointment for the Friday coming up and will definitely be going to this one! Mr.A was worried I would be forced into going ahead with the procedures and handing over the cash, he knows how convincing people can be when they want to make a "sale". Money is a big worry for us at the moment but I explained to him that there is no harm in me getting opinions and using this consultation as research, and have assured him I won't be "forced" into saying yes.

Weight update...
I have lost a total of two pounds in the last two weeks :-) I am really pleased as I wasn't expecting to lose anything at all. With all the over eating at Christmas and lack of exercise the week before last, I was positive I would gain weight, but no! I am feeling much better now I'm back on track, hopefully the weight loss will continue and I will reach my goal of  9 and a half stone.

Our Festive House & weight update

I decided to take a few photos of our Christmas decorations and share them with you. I am a rubbish photographer so don't expect spectacular pictures lol! The girls mainly decorated, I just altered a few things (having ALL the decorations around the bottom of the tree doesn't look to great!).

The girls tree in their bedroom :-)

My Minnie Mouse in our tree

The mistletoe hangs above the kitchen door

I love these little reindeer, we got a pack of about ten for £1.50 from Tesco

This Santa sleigh mean alot to me. It was my Nan's, she had it for years before she died and I still have its original box with her writing on it.

My stocking :-)

I love looking at everyones Christmas decorations so if you have posted any on your blog let me know!

Weight Update-
I reluctantly weighed myself today. I was really worried as for the past few weeks I haven't exercised much (various reasons). I have also eaten things I wouldn't normally have like a chicken burger from McDonalds, chips on a night out and a pizza from Domino's! All this in the past 3 weeks was surely going to lead to some weight gain. But no! I have infact lost 4 pounds, yay! This gives me a BMI of 24 making me in the "normal" range. I still have 10lbs to lose until i am back down to my pre-pregnancy weight but i am feeling much more positive about it now :-)

There's nothing a Baileys Hot Chocolate can't solve

This is precisely what I am doing right now. I have made myself a Cadburys highlights hot chocolate and added a shot (or two) or Baileys Irish Cream, mmmm!
I don't usually drink but my friend left a bottle of my all time favourite tipple from the weekend. Today has been stressful so I've treated myself.

If you don't want to read a blog post full of ranting, swearing and whinging then click the cross now...

Rant 1... The postman...
I was expecting a parcel (my glossybox to be precise) and saw the postman walk past my front window. I waited eagerly for the doorbell to ring or for a knock at the door. Instead I heard the letterbox. "Godammit, my glossybox hasnt come today" I thought, so I went to the door to find the dreaded red note... "Sorry you were out". What?! I wasnt out, i was in, sitting right here, a few metres away from the door! So i run out and catch the postman walking off. I call him back and his excuse was "Oh i rang your doorbell, it can't be working" He then goes back to his van and fetches my parcel (which is my glossybox, yay!). Mr postman obviously had no intention of delivering my parcel though as he hadn't even bothered to bring it to my door, instead he just gave me a missed parcel card. WHY? He's a lazy b*stard thats why! This is the second time hes done this to me and i think its disgusting. By the way, my doorbell works fine, i tested it as soon as Postie had gone.
So instead of letting it go like i have before I decide to write an email of complaint to the Royal Mail. Trying to contact the Royal Mail is about as easy as trying to toilet train a Springer Spaniel puppy with mental problems (rant number two is creeping in here). Their "contact us" page had no form to fill in. Their "email us" link was linked to nothing. Their phone number was experiencing technical difficulties. I still cant get through!

Rant 2- Alfie and his toilet habits...
Now I have had two dogs as puppies before Alfie so i know toilet training can take its time... but Alfie is taking the p*ss! Literally!
When we first got him he was pretty much toilet trained, he whimpered to go out and peed and pooped outside. Then he started doing the odd piddle in the living room, then a poop every now and again. I did the usual, ignored him, put him outside then praised him whenever he did his business in the garden. I leave my back door open all day so Alfie can access the garden whenever he wants but he is now peeing everywhere in my house! Every 5 minutes there is a wet patch on my carpet and its sooo hard not to get mad! I really haven't a clue on what to do now. Puppy pads aren't an option, he won't use them, just rips them to shreds instead.

Rant 3- Our EX electricity supplier...
First Utilities to be exact. We switched from them ages ago (or rather, we TRIED to, they made it so difficult). Since then we have had a constant stream of letters through the door saying we owe them money. WE DON'T. We paid them what we owed when we eventually left them and about 2 months ago after another "you owe us" letter we rang them and they told us all our debts to them were cleared so ignore the letter. Then today we get a letter from a bloody Solicitor on behalf of First Utilities saying that we owe them £13. My husband was on the phone to them for ages, arguing and got nowhere. It ended with me grabbing the phone and telling the First Utilities idiot that I work for a newspaper and shall be writing about how cr*p they are. I didn't give him chance to reply, i put the phone down in a rage. I don't work for a newspaper by the way, it was a fib, naughty Holli.

Rant 4- Lack of exercise...
I like my exercise, actually i dont like it...i LOVE it. It keeps me sane, its something to look forward to on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening. I go to Zumba Toning when my husband comes home from work. This week however, I can't go at all :-( Mr.A is on exercise with the Army so won't be home. There's nobody up here to babysit for me so I can't go. After the excessive eating and alcohol consumption at the weekend i am desperate to work out, if i put weight on i will go insane. Some of you may think i'm being silly but exercise and my weight is very important to me...to the point where i am obsessive. Lack of exercise = one grumpy Holli.

Rant 5- Christmas and no money...
I think alot of people can relate to this one. Each month is tight, we never seem to have much left over after all the important things have been paid for. We haven't bought one single Christmas present yet and there is only one more pay day before the big day. I am usually so organised and start buying bits in October but this year wasn't able to. We are relying on the money that someone owes us to buy presents this year... which leads onto rant number 6.

Rant 6- My husbands so-called "friend"
At the beginning of the year we had a small car that we needed to sell in order to buy a big one for when Ozzy was born. My husband was paying for the car on finance, £155 a month. His friend at work said he was interested in buying the car from us and was able to give us the remaining balance in full within 3 months. He gave us the first £1000 straight off and promised us the rest the following month. My husband handed over the car, trusting his friend (me on the other hand was furious he gave him the car without all the money but when do men ever listen to their wives?). The next month arrived but no money... we tried contacting this "friend" but he had vanished, we then found out he had moved batallion and was now based in Scotland, he never told us this. He dissapeared from facebook and we couldnt get through to his phone. We visited his mum who lives local to us and was informed he owes her thousands of pounds to which she has seen nothing of. Great... no car, no money and we were still forking out £155 a month for it. We had to get out a loan to buy another car so we are paying that off too. Eventually this friend got in touch and said he would pay us the £155 a month to cover the finance payments which he did until now. He now owes us over £600, he still has the car, we are still forking out each month for it and he is just coming up with excuses. He likes to pull the sympathy card alot too, using his son as an excuse. His girlfriend has promised us half the money in December, im not holding out too much hope though.

I will stop whinging now, i feel a little better getting these things off my chest. The taste of Baileys has gone from my mouth and if i have another i'll be as drunk as a skunk so for now i think i shall try this...

My night in Newcastle (& mini weight update)

Well... last night was an experience!

I have never seen so many people out in all my life. The place was rammed.
Unfortunately I didnt manage to take an Outfit Of The Night photo. I ended up rushing a little as i couldn't decide what to wear. In the end I wore my Louboutins, the black dress I featured in this post, and the black bow clutch bag that i customised with Swarovski crystals. The earrings I wore were the ones I blogged about here (first photo of earrings). I also put on a navy blue 3/4 length sleeved blazer from New Look (bought last year) and i'm so glad I did because it was freezing!

We ended up in one club that was so full we couldn't move. It was so hot in there and people were just pushing past without a care in the world. I got very drunk and whilst crossing the road I fell over, haha! It was strange though because i sort of pre-empted it, before i fell i told my friend Lou that i was going to fall in the road and get run over. I was more worried about my shoes than anything else though, haha. I ended up taking them off and carrying them down the road!

I had an amazing drink called a Russian Bride, i cant remember exactly what was in it but it was creamy, white with a hint of coffee mmmm! The birthday girls boyfriend bought us all a round of Jaegerbombs (eeewww!), then my friend Jade treated us to some shots, I had chocolate orange flavour, it was sooo nice! The bakewell tart flavoured one smelt amazing too. For the rest of the night I drank Gin and lemonade and shared a Coco Cobana pitcher with my sister (Malibu, pinapple sours and lemonade).

The night ended with us eating chicken wraps and cheesy chips in a kebab shop. Why does food taste so good at the end of a drunken night?
I was so hungover this morning, I swear i'm getting too old for this kind of thing!

Here are a few photos from the night...

Jade picked her eyelashes off at the end of the night which we thought was hilarious!

What did you get up to this weekend?

I weighed myself last weekend and had only lost 1 pound in nearly 2 weeks :-( but that same day I came on so i'm guessing (and hoping!) that the rubbish weight loss was to do with that. However, Ive decided NOT to weigh myself tomorrow been as I had a naughty chicken wrap, chips, copious amounts of alcohol AND a krispy kreme donut (or two!) this weekend! Tut tut Holli, back on the diet!

Weigh day and new buys

Today i am down :-( i weighed myself, in a week and four days ive lost a measley pound... 1 pound!! I am so annoyed at myself, i worked so hard. My mum and best friend reckon my body is in starvation mode but if it was then surely id put weight on? I dunno, but its so disheartening. I ordered some more maxitone shake off ebay, chocolate flavour this time, looking forward to trying a new flavour. Im going to try and up my water intake too, i know i dont drink enough. Been as im staying at my mums i decided to ask my friend who ive known since primary school to come do some classes with me at the gym. She got me doing body combat last night, was so much fun! My co-ordination is terrible though, just as i got the hang of a move it was time for a different one, haha.

Ive been after a large cross necklace for awhile now but never came across one that i like enough to buy. Until i was browsing thr Burtons website for my husband. I finally found one! And it was in the sale for a fiver, bargain. It came today, along with a t-shirt i ordered from missrebel.co.uk i love it! I popped to Morrisons earlier and had a quick look in the makeup section, i came across Collection 2000's cream puff matte lipgloss. I bought it in 'fairy dust' a lovely soft pink colour. It is fab, so moisturising and goes on lovely.

T-shirt £7.99 missrebel.co.uk, cross necklace £5 Burton menswear, cream puff lipgloss in fairy dust, Collection 2000 £2.99.

Have any of you tried these matte lipglosses?

New hair and Louboutins

Well I did it, i went for the chop. I showed the hairdresser the picture and told her to just go for it. Its really strange having such short hair, everyone says it looks lovely but its going to take some getting used to! Sorry for the pose... i dont know what the hell i was doing lol...

Ive come to my mums for the weekend, we got back Friday night. Mr. A has been working with his dad, floor laying for abit of extra cash. Hes hoping to get into floor laying when he leaves the army.
Only lost a pound this week :( bit poo, but better than nothing... I wasnt expecting to lose much as I havent been able to exercise much in the week, Mr.A was away with the army so I had no-one to look after the kids. Going back home tonight so shall get back to the gym and work extra hard!
Its only 6 weeks until I'll be going out for the first time since my honeymoon (which was September last year!) The husband has decided hes going to buy me a whole new outfit and Ive already chosen the shoes....

Christian Louboutin Daffodile Aurora Boreale Pumps
AARGGHHH! I loooveeee these!

Ive got a pair of Louboutins which I had for Christmas a few years ago but they arent half as spectacular as these. Just Black lace peep toes, still lovely though. Will post a pic of me wearing them once they are in my sweaty excited little hands!

Hey chubb!

Good morning, i thought i'd start my post on my weightloss journey while the little one is asleep...we had a rough night lastnight, he's a poorley little boy at the moment :(

While i was pregnant with my little boy i put on 3 stone and went from a uk size 10 to a size 16...eek!

Before and after. First pic, last year on my wedding day. Second pic, me heavily pregnant in july this year (im on the far right).

Its my own fault, i eat like a PIG when im pregnant, i gained just as much with my daughters. My weight is one thing that is ALWAYS on my mind, i obsess over it stupidly, the scales determine what mood i will be in for the rest of the day! I lost the baby weight quite quickly last time, took about 4/5 months i think. This time its been harder. So far ive managed to lose over a stone by excersing nearly everyday and eating less. I should be eating more healthily if im honest but i like to enjoy my food! Id rather have a weight watchers dessert for 150 calories rather than a chicken salad (i looovvveee sweet things). Unfortunately my weight loss plateaued last week, i was very annoyed with myself! Anyway, i went to B&M for a mooch (B&M is a cheap shop that sells almost anything, from cleaning products to toys, its great)... I came across tubs of Maxitone Sculptress shakes. 700grams of powder for £15 (700g lasts a week). Maxitone claims their weightloss 'system' is-

'A nutritious protein shake with proven weight loss nutrients. Helps shape your body and keeps you feeling fuller for longer. Supports weight loss. Green tea and guarana. Low GI. Research proven'

Picture from maxitone.com (i dont have my camera today)

So i thought id give this ago. B&M only had strawberry flavour, im not usually a fan of strawberry flavoured things but i was desperate to get out of this plateau!
When i got home i searched for Maxitone on the web and came across their website where this shake is actually £25! so B&M saved me a tenner, yay!
I started the shakes a week ago, they are not a meal replacement, you just have one mid morning and one after exercising, they recommend two shakes a day for best results.
Now, about the taste... At first i nearly threw up, it was like watered down strawberry milkshake with a bitterness to it. I doubted i could have these twice a day everyday, but after a few sips i kind of got used to it. Its not THAT bad... And it did fill an empty spot in my stomach, i didnt feel the need to snack before lunch.
I was really doubting that these shakes would make much of a difference to my weightloss that week but how wrong was i?! I got on the scales yesterday and had lost 3lbs! Woop woop! Im going to carry on with the maxitone shakes, might even try their chocolate bars and tablets too. I will keep you updated each week :)

Maxitone shakes and other Maxitone products are available on their website www.maxitone.com
