New purchases

During my kitchen attack I broke the airer so we popped to good old B&M to get a new one. I drifted over to where they sell make up and noticed they had a 12.7ml tube of Maybelline Great Lash mascara (in blackest black) for about £2. My mum has raved about how good this is before so I thought I'd pick it up. I also bought another W7 polish in shade 79 Hot Pink (for about £1.70). I haven't tried either of the products yet but will post about them when I do.
I also bought myself a "light diffusing" concealer from Morrisons. Its the "Illuminating Touch" by Collection 2000 in shade 02 Natural (£4.99). I have decided I no longer need to buy foundation as my skin is fine with a tinted moisturiser alone. I had been using a foundation just for around the nose and under my eyes but have decided to go for a concealer instead.

Swatched

Blended

I am yet to use this around my eyes and nose, I thought I'd just show you with a swatch on the back of my hand for now. I shall let you know how good it is as illuminating, highlighting and concealing my under eye circles when I get the chance!

Have you used any of the above products before?

30 Day Challenge- Day 25, Beauty regime

I'm not sure if this should be about my pre-make up regime or how I actually apply my make up so I shall do both :-)

-I start by removing any leftover make up with a good old baby wipe, then cleanse my face with Simple's moisturising face wash.

- I moisturise using my Monu revitilising moisturiser that I got in my Glossybox. Then I moisturise a second time using my Nivea tinted moisturiser then apply my MUA primer.

- If my skin isn't looking too great with the tinted moisturiser alone I use a foundation brush to apply Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation then a dusting of Collection 2000's face powder to take off the shine.

- My VIVO bronzer in "Bronzed" goes on next and I blend into my neck if my fake tan is wearing off (I hate the orange head, white neck look!)

- Next to go on is my blusher, its either MAC Dainty or VIVO Sugar Candy.

- Onto the eyebrows... I have naturally dark hair so fill in my brows with the darkest shade from my HD Brows palette. I then apply highlighter to my cheekbones and my brow bone.

- My usual choice of eye make up is normally black liquid eye liner with a small flick at the end. I find this the quickest and easiest look to create. I then add some mascara to the top and bottom lashes and finish with applying a high lighter to the inner corner of my eyes.

Voila!

FOTD

Thought I'd do a FOTD post today for you all. We decided to come to my mums earlier than Christmas day so we are here now, I forgot to bring my camera though and had to use my phone so the picture quality isn't great.

You can see the remains of my Barry M red glitter nail varnish here, its so Christmassey! I really should remove it and re-apply...

I look a bit gormless in this photo don't I?

Here I am wearing-
Face- Bourjois Healthy mix foundation, VIVO baked bronzer, Both the blushers from the Blink and Go palette mixed together (below).
Lips- Collection 2000's Pink Shock lipstick.
Eyebrows- HD brows palette.
Eyes- Blink and go palette (I've circled the two shades in the photo below), black liquid eye-liner on the top and black kohl eyeliner on my lower waterlin, Dior's Backstage mascara in black.

NOTD- Razzle Dazzle Jam!

I don't usually post about what I receive in my Glossybox but this has been my favourite product so far, I absolutely love it! As soon as I opened my box yesterday and after squealing with excitement, I HAD to try the nail polish I received- Deborah Lippmans' Razzle Dazzle. I decided to pair it with Collection 2000's Damson Jam.

How beautiful is this?!

Eurgh, I hate that my nails are so short. They have become so weak and thin!

I used one coat of Damson Jam and two coats of Razzle Dazzle.

I'm really tempted to buy some more glitter polishes by Deborah Lippman, I've seen a few I like the look of already.

30 Day Challenge- Day 6, My favourite make up brand

I have alot of different products from various brands but I always find myself going to Collection 2000 first. I used to dis-regard them as I thought of them as a brand for young teens but lately my opinion has changed. They have such good quality make up for really affordable prices. I really can't justify spending more than £10 for a lipstick when I have 3 children to buy for, it just seems wrong. Collection 2000 have a great range of items, from "Dazzle Me" eye dust (which is just like Barry M's dazzle dust but more affordable!) to false eyelashes and long lasting nail polish. Each product comes in a range of shades so there's lots to choose from.
Here a few of my favourites from Collection 2000...

What's your favourite make up brand?

New purchases

I actually bought the leggings and dress a few weeks ago now but only just decided to show you. The make-up was purchased from Morrison's yesterday, i always have a peek at the make-up section when we go food shopping.

Sparkly leggings on the left, £8 from Matalan. Shiny leggings on the right, £15 from Next.

Close up of my sparkly leggings :-) I love these!

Burgundy Asymmetric Chiffon Dress, £25 from Desireclothing.co.uk

I bought a Collection 2000 cream puff lip cream before in a different colour and liked it so much i decided to get another, this time in "Powder Puff", £2.99.

Collection 2000 Extreme 24 hour felt tip eye liner in purple, £2.99 (i think!)

The tip is sturdy and has a nice point to it. I found it very easy to apply and get a good flick. I will definitely purchase this in the other colours available.

Left- Cream puff. Right- Felt tip liner.

"Powder Puff" on my lips. This particular shade showed up the dryness of my lips quite badly even with a lip balm underneath. I had to exfoliate and moisturise like a crazy woman, then apply.

Lets throw in a FOTD...

Here i am wearing the lip cream and eyeliner as above, along with...
Nivea Visage tinted moisturiser.
Vivo blusher and highlighter.
HD brows.
Dior mascara in black.

Cherry Pop FOTD

I've had this lipstick for about a month now but thought I'd give it a go today and do a little review.
Its Collection 2000's Volume Sensation lipstick in Cherry Pop.

Collection 2000's description...
"Moisturising lipstick with a luxurious creamy feel, contains up to 40% volumising ingredients to plump your pout in a flash!"

Sorry its a little blurry, i don't know what's wrong with my camera!

On my lips...

(Here I am just wearing Nivea Visage tinted moisturiser in "Natural", MAC blush in "Dainty" and Rimmel liquid eyeliner in black. No mascara, concealer, powder or bronzer. Quite au naturale today!)

I love the colour of this, i think it suits my skin tone well. It applied lovely and I agree it has a creamy texture. I  purposely didn't apply any lip balm to my lips before application as i wanted to see just how moisturising this lipstick really is. I've got to say its pretty good!  My lips didn't feel dry after applying it nor did they feel greasy. I havent had it on long enough to comment on how long it lasts unfortunately. As for the volumising effect, well.... there is none in my opinion. My lips felt tingly when first applied and now they just feel a little "cool", there is no obvious difference in the volume of my lips though.

Volume Sensation lipstick by Collection 2000 is available from Superdrug for £2.99 and is currently part of the 3 for 2 offer. Click here to view.

New dress, NOTD and green tan!

Hello little dragons, today ive decided to show you a dress i ordered from ASOS.com, it arrived this morning and i love it! Im thinking i can wear it with big earrings and heels for a night out or with flat boots and a biker jacket for in the day.

Its such a lovely material, really light and floaty, feels quite silky too. Im wearing it here with platform boots that i got from topshop last year.

I re-did my nails last night....

I used Collection 2000s Damson Jam and Ruby Sparkle by Accessorize...Perfect for the Christmas Party season i think!

Onto the fake tan disaster So last night after having a shower, i sprayed my deodrant then proceeded to apply my fake tan (by Laurens Way). I did half my body then accidently wiped my freshly sprayed armpit with the tanning mitt. Because i tan regularly i dont use a mirror. Wish i had this time though. I continued to fake tan, then noticed my right arm looked slightly green. I looked in the mirror and saw that all the parts id tanned after accidently wiping my armpit had gone green. I looked ill! My husband came upstairs and just laughed at me. Luckily when i washed it off this morning i was a lovely golden colour, not green. Thank goodness! Note to self... DO NOT apply deodrant before tanning in the future!

Vero Moda dress available here, £27
Accessorize nail polish in ruby sparkle available here, £4
Collection 2000 Damson Jam polish available here, £2.99

Damson Jam Nails

Whilst in Morrisons yet again, i decided to pick up a new nail colour. I spotted this gorgeous deep red by Collection 2000, its called Damson Jam and is my new favourite colour. It is a proper wintery shade, i just love it. This is 2 coats...

Bargain for £2.99 dont you think?

I used to think Collection 2000 were cheap and nasty but just lately ive found myself buying more of their products and really liking them.

Weigh day and new buys

Today i am down :-( i weighed myself, in a week and four days ive lost a measley pound... 1 pound!! I am so annoyed at myself, i worked so hard. My mum and best friend reckon my body is in starvation mode but if it was then surely id put weight on? I dunno, but its so disheartening. I ordered some more maxitone shake off ebay, chocolate flavour this time, looking forward to trying a new flavour. Im going to try and up my water intake too, i know i dont drink enough. Been as im staying at my mums i decided to ask my friend who ive known since primary school to come do some classes with me at the gym. She got me doing body combat last night, was so much fun! My co-ordination is terrible though, just as i got the hang of a move it was time for a different one, haha.

Ive been after a large cross necklace for awhile now but never came across one that i like enough to buy. Until i was browsing thr Burtons website for my husband. I finally found one! And it was in the sale for a fiver, bargain. It came today, along with a t-shirt i ordered from missrebel.co.uk i love it! I popped to Morrisons earlier and had a quick look in the makeup section, i came across Collection 2000's cream puff matte lipgloss. I bought it in 'fairy dust' a lovely soft pink colour. It is fab, so moisturising and goes on lovely.

T-shirt £7.99 missrebel.co.uk, cross necklace £5 Burton menswear, cream puff lipgloss in fairy dust, Collection 2000 £2.99.

Have any of you tried these matte lipglosses?

Inspired by Frankie

I posted yesterday i was thinking about copying Frankie Sandfords look in this photo-

Well i gave it ago earlier today (minus the fake lashes). I didnt take the photo with a straight on pose, it doesnt suit me (we all have our favourite angles when being photographed dont we? Straight on isnt one of mine!)

Same picture here but i decided to mess around with the effects on my ipad-

It looks darker in real life, dont know why its come out lighter.

Heres what i used-

Face- Bourjois healthy mix foundation
Collection 2000 powder
GOSH bronzer
Mac dainty blush
Eyes- Dior mascara in black
Rimmel liquid eyeliner in black
Dior eye pencil in black
Front cover eyeshadows (left to right) See the stars, frosted almond, twinkling gold, twinkling grape
Eyebrows- HD brows
Lips- Rimmel lasting finish lipstick in pink blush
Barry M lipgloss in Bubblegum pink

I know i am nothing compared to Frankie but she is so beautiful and the picture above is one of my favourites of her. Im abit gutted shes gone back to her original hairstyle, i really love the pixie crop on her.
What do you think?

MUA and Beauty UK

Random post today, thought I'd share with you my favourite lipsticks at the mo and my opinion on MUA's mascara.
I'm not usually a big lipstick wearer, im more of a lipgloss kind of girl. I did go through a phase a few years ago wear all id wear was baby pink lipstick, got bored of that quite quick though. I'd heard alot of good feedback from Superdrugs makeup range MUA so thought Id take a look. I ended up buying 2 lipsticks and mascara. Had a quick browse of the Beauty UK range and bought a lipstick and baked blusher, oh and a volume sensation lipstick from Collection 2000 (from Boots) in cherry pop.

Left to right- Beauty UK in Sunset £3.49, Mua shade 7 £1.00, Collection 2000 volume sensation in cherry pop £2.99, MUA shade 3 £1.00.

Swatches (taken with the flash on but i think the colours are pretty accurate)-

Beauty uk sunset, MUA shade 7, Collection 2000 volume sensation cherry pop, MUA shade 3.

My favourite is definately Beauty UKs sunset, its such a lovely colour. The only thing is, i find it quite drying, even after putting lipbalm on beforehand. The MUA shades are lovely too and much creamier than Beauty uks. They didnt make my lips feel flaky or dry after. The Collection 2000 volume sensation was moisturing too, colour was bright and it did make my lips feel tingly, cant say i noticed much difference in the size of them though :-( bit dissapointing.

Onto Beauty UK baked blusher and MUA mascara-

Beauty uk baked blusher in candy shop £3.99.

I love how it comes with a little tiny brush that stores underneath. Only trouble is, its pretty rubbish, it just bends and doesnt pick up any colour. So i ended up just using my normal blusher brush.

First pic without flash, second pic with flash.

I like the colour of candy shop, it gives a soft pink glow to my cheeks and looks natural. I couldnt get a good enough picture with me actually wearing it but you can see how shimmery and pink it is from these pics.

MUA mascara £1

One word... Rubbish. Might be a bit harsh but this just did hardly anything for me. It gave me the slightest bit of length and thats it. My eyelashes look the same without any on! I couldnt get a good photo to show you but there wouldnt have been much point anyway because there just wasnt a difference. Maybe i find it so rubbish because im comparing it to my much loved Dior mascara (cant live without it!) i duno... All i can say is that i wont be using MUA mascara again.
