I watched The Notebook for the first time just before Christmas. It is now my favourite film EVER (well, its on par with The Little Mermaid!). I have only ever cried at two films in my whole life- E.T when I was about 6 years old, and Marley & Me when I was pregnant with Ozzy (I blame the hormones). The Notebook is officially the 3rd film I've cried at, when I say cry I mean CRY. I was blarting like a baby. I became so emotional I grabbed the nearest thing to hide my face which turned out to be my husbands sweaty sock that he'd left on the sofa...nice! Anyway... I'd seen Ryan Gosling before in a few films such as All good things and Crazy, Stupid Love. The husband decided we would watch a film last night so I chose something with Mr Gosling in... Blue Valentine... it was quite a dark film, very realistic and doesn't end on a happy note but I still enjoyed it. It amazes me how Ryan still looks hot even as an older man with a porn tache and receding hairline. Previously, my "celeb crush" was Alexander Skarsgard from True Blood, but Ryan Gosling has definitely taken over (for now!)
