W7 Hot Pink

A few days ago I purchased a W7 nail polish in Hot Pink from B&M for about £1.70.
My nails are in shockingly bad condition at the moment, they just won't grow :-( so I enlisted the help of my 6 year old daughter Willow. Her nails are short but much better than mine...

2 coats, in daylight

2 coats, indoors.

I think they could have done with a 3rd coat to get total opacity but Willow wanted to rush out and call for her friend!

The quality of W7 polishes always impresses me and the bottle is exactly like OPI polishes. I wish I'd picked up more colours now...will have to take a trip back there I think!

NOTD- Razzle Dazzle Jam!

I don't usually post about what I receive in my Glossybox but this has been my favourite product so far, I absolutely love it! As soon as I opened my box yesterday and after squealing with excitement, I HAD to try the nail polish I received- Deborah Lippmans' Razzle Dazzle. I decided to pair it with Collection 2000's Damson Jam.

How beautiful is this?!

Eurgh, I hate that my nails are so short. They have become so weak and thin!

I used one coat of Damson Jam and two coats of Razzle Dazzle.

I'm really tempted to buy some more glitter polishes by Deborah Lippman, I've seen a few I like the look of already.

Nails Inc Couture

I was emailed a few days ago about Nail Inc Couture polishes. I instantly fell in love with the them! Incase you don't know already, the Couture range is a design-your-own Nails Inc polish! You choose the cap, the polish, the name of it and then the adornments on its gift box.
I ordered one for my sister as a Christmas present a few days ago and it came today.

First you choose your lid-

My favourite is the studded one

Then you choose the polish-

I chose Bloomsbury Square for my sister, if I were to choose for myself though I'd go for Connaught Square (glittery blue with hints of purple)

After choosing what name you want to appear on the bottom of your polish you decide which stickers you'd like on the box-

I went for Merry Christmas and the pink lips for my sister.

(The images above are all from nailsinc.com)

Here was the finished product-

Unfortunately they have put the lips sticker on upside down!

My sister loves bling and her favourite colour is pink so obviously i had to go for the pink crystal cap!

I choose the shade Bloomsbury Square, a gorgeous sparkly purple with chunky pink glitter

I had the "name" as Little Norman as this is what I have always called my sister (Norman is our family name and she is the younger sibling, hence the little)

What do you think? Will you be buying someone a personalised polish for Christmas? I'd be thrilled if I received one, what about you?

Nails Inc Couture costs £20 and is available here.

Metallic Jupiter

Whilst looking for some stocking fillers for the girls in B&M (a store that sells a bit of everything for bargain prices) I came across some W7 nail polish. I picked up shade 89 Metallic Jupiter. Unfortunately my nails are in too much of a poor state to show you a photo of me wearing it so I've put some onto a bit of card instead.

It is such a beautiful colour, it reminds me of when you see oil from cars spilt on the road, it is a mixture of pink, orange, purple, green, blue and black. You can see in the pictures above it is slightly sparkly.
For £1.57 it is such a bargain!

Essie Luxeffect polishes & a little rant!

I'll start with a rant so I can end this post in a positive way...
First off, I have dandruff... real bad dandruff. I have only just noticed! I've never had it before so why now? Could it be the weather? My head was itching so i scratched and it looked as if it were snowing, wtf?! Looks like i better go stock up on the Head and Shoulders.
Secondly, Alfie has been on a destructive rampage. Whilst i was cleaning in the kitchen he managed to rip up the carpet in the living room, chew one of the girls dolls to bits and gnaw through a wire for the surround sound. Oh and he peed everywhere! I am fuming but its my own stupid fault for leaving him, i could kick myself...in the face...hard.
3rd rant... I have no airer to put my wet washing on...silly rant i know but its so frustrating! My dryer likes to shrink things so i refuse to put certain items of clothing in it so the only other option is to use the little peg thing thats for small items. So now i have my granny pants hanging in the window (theres nowhere else to hang it where the dog can't reach).
Lastly, there is NO FOOD in the house. Theres enough for the kids but not for me. Theres hardly any milk left so cereal is off the menu. Pay day isn't until Wednesday, it can't come quick enough. Living of Cadburys highlights hot chocolate is not filling!

Phew, i feel much better now.
Right, onto the nail polishes...

Wow! I am in love. I never thought i would get like this over nail varnish but i have. After seeing this post on The PolishAholic I have decided these have to be mine.

Essie's Luxeffect Collection

Left to right- As gold as it gets, Shine of the times, A cut above, Set in stones and Pure pearlfection.

I have fallen in love with what The Polishaholic has done with them...

I believe this collection isn't out until December in the UK (please correct me if im wrong) but some Ebay sellers from overseas are selling it, a tad overpriced though.

NOTD- Midnight Blue & Monster High hunt!

This weekend has been tough, we are so skint! Pay day isn't until Wednesday so until then we are poor :-( I had to borrow £10 from my friend yesterday to get some essentials. All my stuff on Ebay sold so my Paypal account was quite full, its a shame you can't use it to pay for groceries! I've used it to get some of the girls Christmas presents. I've been trying to get my hands on a Monster High Draculaura doll for Willow, but its sold out everywhere! I've managed to find it in a set with another doll (Clawd Wolf) for £30 but its the "Dawn of the Dance" doll she wants. I love the Monster High dolls, they are so funky.
Last year I had to track down a Barbie Puppy Swim School, i ended up paying a stupid amount for it and she's only played with it once! Kids! Lily is easy to buy for, anything Mickey Mouse or Toy Story and she's happy. When the kids had gone to sleep last night i decided to design a new header for my blog, Christmas themed! I haven't decided when i'm going to put it up yet, might be the 1st of December when the advent calender opening starts. That reminds me, i need to get the girls some!

Draculaura Dawn of the Dance doll, I need to find this!

Onto my NOTD-
The nail wraps i applied the other day started to bore me. I've got to admit, their staying power is great. Washing up, bathing kids, cleaning and general wear and tear didn't budge them. The only thing i noticed was the very edges of my nails had gone abit white but nothing really noticeable. By now, nail varnish would have chipped. So thumbs up Nail Rock, I'm impressed!
I decided to try out MUA's nail polish, I picked up shade 1 from Superdrugs website and applied it last night. It was hard to be neat with the rubbish lighting in our house but here was the result after two coats...

It wasnt very easy trying to pick up the delicate blue sparkles in this nail varnish with my camera. It looks much nicer in real life. Its a sort of deep purple with dark blue sparkle, from a distance it almost looks black.

I tried to capture its true colour here

Considering this nail polish is only £1.00 I am very happy with it. It was easy to apply, dried pretty quick and has given a nice result. I'm definately going to try more nail polishes from MUA.

MUA nail polish in shade 1 is available to buy here, £1.00

Lick my Leopard

Strange name for a title I know but there is a reason behind it. My husband loves smooth shiny nails, whenever i have painted them he likes to test their smoothness by licking them (yes he is a strange man). This time however, i haven't used nail polish but nail wraps instead. I received them in this months Glossybox and was thrilled that they were leopard print ones. I did them last night...

Aren't they fab?
They were fairly easy to apply, it was my first time using them so it took me quite a while to do the first hand but once id got the hang of it they applied much quicker.
It says on the instructions to take the shine off your nail then apply the nail wrap (which is just like a sticker). You are then meant to fold the edges over the tip of your nail but i just couldn't do it, it wasn't sticking over the edge no matter what. So i missed that step and just filed the edges off. Two of my nails had to be re-done as the edges were tatty and weren't sticking too well (probably because i had fiddled with them quite abit).
I dont think they are going to last very long on me, i do alot of cleaning and washing up everyday. I've noticed this morning that one of the nail wraps has started to lift at the tip slightly, I just know im going to end up messing with it.
I don't know if i would buy these in the future, i think £6.65 is a little steep for something you can only use once. If there was a special occasion however i might change my mind, as im not skilled enough to re-create this kind of effect myself.

Here are some of the other designs available...

I love the larger leopard print ones.

Whilst on the website i noticed they also do Eye rocks! I LOVE them! Im definately going to get some for the Christmas party season...

My favourite is the 3rd one, Glimmer AB (how fab would these look with my Louboutins?!)

Nail rocks are available here from around £6.00
Eye Rocks can be bought here from around £20.00

Have you tried any of these yet? What about the Lip Rocks they also do?

NOTD- Purple blue sparkle

I really need to buy some washing up gloves, my nails are getting ruined. They have gone all weak and as you can see in the picture one of them had to be filed down short. I hate it when you have just the odd short nail!

Today i have gone for a glittery purple blue...

I used Saffron purple blue glitter No5 over the top of Front Cover's Deep Purple...

I love the different colours in the Saffron polish. It has lovely rainbow colours in it if you look closely. I took this picture blurred so you can get some idea of it...

I only used one coat of the glitter but looks even sparklier with two coats. I didnt have time to do another layer, might add it later.

Saffron polish available from this Ebay seller for £1.99. Bargain!
Front Cover polish available in a set here. £12 for 7 nail varnishes and 2 files.

I know this next photo is nothing to do with nails but thought id show you the effect my Louboutins give off, i found it difficult to get a good enough photo when i first posted about them. This is the best i can get...

Damson Jam Nails

Whilst in Morrisons yet again, i decided to pick up a new nail colour. I spotted this gorgeous deep red by Collection 2000, its called Damson Jam and is my new favourite colour. It is a proper wintery shade, i just love it. This is 2 coats...

Bargain for £2.99 dont you think?

I used to think Collection 2000 were cheap and nasty but just lately ive found myself buying more of their products and really liking them.

My graze box and order from Woownow

My Graze box came today and i love it! The box was smaller than i expected but the packets of food were good sizes. I got apple and cinnamon flapjacks, cranberry and honey mix granola, bakewell tart fruit and nut mix and hot cross yum mix.

I love every single thing in my box! Sooo tasty. Me and my mum have gobbled up the flapjack and hot cross yum mix already. I love the fact it comes with a personalised little card and booklet, telling you all you need to know about the product along with tips for a healthy diet. Think i will be signing up to graze and make this a regular thing as it is definately worth £3.49.

The two items me and my sister ordered from woownow.com came today aswell, we only orded them yesterday so im well impressed. The lounge top for my sister is better than i expected, double layered and a good size. The velvet and lace dress however is tiny! We ordered a size 12 and its more like a size 8, honestly! Its teeny! Im going to keep it though as hopefully it will fit me by Christmas. The quality of both the items is really good though, much better than expected.

I popped to B&M today to try and get some more Maxitone shakes. I cant justify spending £25 on a tub from the internet so i get them from B&M for £15 instead. Unfortunately, this store didnt have any :-( im gutted, going to have to wait until im back at home and can go to my local store. It was weigh day on Sunday but i havent been on the scales yet, i have a bad tummy at the mo and everythings feeling rather heavy.

Missing my husband lots today, hes away with the army and not back until Saturday, hate not having him home everyday. I cant wait until hes out and has a normal job!

I re did my nails last night and filed them down, i cant believe how much they are growing! Ive never had natural nails this length before, strange! Maybe its all the nutrients and vitamins from the maxitone shakes? Who knows. This is 17's Woo Me with Bourjois over the top. I can find a shade name on the Bourjois but in the bottle it looks like sparkly pink.

I posted a photo with one of my nails painted like this before but i love it so much i had to do all of them. Its so girly and pretty :-)
Do you like?
